Press registration

Registration for the press will be free, pending accreditation.

The 8th Global Symposium for Health Systems Research welcomes the participation of media editors and journalists. There is no registration fee for accredited media representatives, but numbers are limited. To register for the Symposium as media, please email Rhia.Brown@mannionadaniels.com with your name, role, and organization (if freelance, just put ‘freelance’) and the supporting accreditation documents, for example pieces of your work or a letter from your employer.

Media eligibility requirements

Journalists, bloggers, photographers or videographers’ who are either employees of or on assignment for a recognized print, radio, broadcast or online consumer, medical or community-based media outlet are eligible to apply for complimentary media registration.

Communications support professionals attached to a recognized research, advocacy or policy organization, whose work is directly related to supporting media coverage are not considered media and must register as a regular delegate.

Media center

The Symposium will provide a Media Office and Symposium staff will be able to assist with contacting speakers and setting up interviews upon request.

A factsheet, photos, and video clips will be posted on social media and the HSG Flickr page as they are produced.

Journalists are kindly requested to alert the communications team to their published articles or any broadcasts so that media coverage can be promoted widely through Symposium channels.

Access to sessions

Media participants have full access to all Symposium plenary and concurrent sessions, the marketplace, poster area, and the media room at the Symposium.

As some of the satellite sessions are closed, it is important to check with the Symposium communications team beforehand whether media attendance will be permitted.

Language

The official language of the Symposium is English, but all sessions will offer Japanese translation.

Virtual media center

It is still possible to be a part of the Symposium even if you are unable to attend in person. You will be notified as soon as official Symposium announcements are issued.
